Is YTB Summary free?
YTB Summary offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, a premium subscription ($3.99/month or $36/year) is required.
Which browsers are supported?
YTB Summary works on Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers including Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera. Firefox and Safari are not currently supported.
Why can't I summarize a video?
The video likely does not have subtitles available. YTB Summary requires subtitles (auto-generated or uploaded) to generate summaries. Check if the "CC" button is available on the YouTube video player.
Why is the summary inaccurate?
Summary accuracy depends on subtitle quality. Auto-generated subtitles may contain errors, particularly for:
Can I summarize videos in languages other than English?
Yes. YTB Summary supports 9 languages. The AI can summarize videos in any language and translate the summary to your preferred language.
How long does summary generation take?
Most summaries generate within 5 to 15 seconds, depending on video length and server load. Content appears in real-time as it is generated.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Navigate to Account → Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the current billing period ends.
Can I get a refund?
Contact support within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. Refund requests after this period are evaluated individually.
What happens when my trial ends?
A subscription is required to continue using YTB Summary. Your account and settings are preserved when you subscribe.
Do unused summaries or questions carry over to the next day?
No. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC and do not accumulate. Question pack credits do not expire and are carried forward.
What are clarification questions?
After generating a summary, you can ask follow-up questions about the video content. The AI responds based on the complete video transcript.
Why have I run out of questions?
You have reached your daily limit. The limit resets at midnight UTC. Alternatively, you can purchase a question pack for additional questions.
