This document explains how the YTB Summary Chrome extension works and its technical capabilities.
The Chrome extension is the primary interface for using YTB Summary. It integrates directly into YouTube pages and provides access to all summarization features.
When you navigate to a YouTube video page, the extension automatically detects:
YTB Summary retrieves subtitles from YouTube's subtitle system:
The complete transcript is extracted and sent to the AI service for processing.
The AI engine processes the transcript to generate a summary:
Summaries are delivered using streaming technology. You see the content as it is generated rather than waiting for the complete response.
